Easter Bunny Rolls Fail

The following post was submitted to us by EPF reader Angie. Thanks, Angie!

The original pin: Cut ears into dinner rolls using scissors to make cute Easter bunny rolls.

Says Angie: “My mom and Grandma attempted to bake these. Didn’t turn out how we thought. Plus my mom only poked one whole thinking it was for the nose when it really should have been two for eyes. :-)”

Ohh, these look bad. There are no words …

Red Velvet Cookies Fail

EPF reader Natasha sent us the following fail. Thank you!

The original pin – “I’ve taken the love of red velvet turned it into a chewy red velvet cookie with chocolate chips and stuffed it with cream cheese.  It was almost named the OMG cookie…yea it’s that good!”

… and the Epic Pinterest Fail:

red-velvet-cookie-fail Epic Pinterest Fail

Says Natasha: “My friend and I saw these red velvet cookies on Pinterest and thought they looked delicious and not too hard to make. What we ended up with were dark brown cracked ‘cookies’ with the filling oozing out. We knew before we even cooked them that something was wrong. The dough was basically crumbs and what were supposed to be cream cheese balls was liquid goo (like the paste in art class). On the bright side they tasted good.”

If they still taste good but look weird, then it’s still a fail! However, it’s not as big of a fail as this GIF of John Mayer giving Kanye West a bro high-five:

Camouflage Cupcakes Fail

Thanks to EPF reader Chasiti for submitting the following fail!

The original pin – Camouflage Cupcakes Tutorial:

… And the Epic Pinterest Fail:

Chasiti says: “It all began very well and the cupcakes themselves turned out exceptionally well, especially for a first time. Then we made the icing, and it was all downhill from that moment. Not only did the type of icing the original pin use turn out like mush, they wouldn’t come out of the pipette bag well either. I work in a bakery, and my mom is highly skilled at decorating cakes, so making icing and using the icing to decorate shouldn’t have been so challenging.”

And extra kudos to Chasiti for providing her own GIF!

Water Marble Nail Fail pt. 2

EPF reader Becca sent us the following fail. Thanks, Becca!

The original pin — water marble nail tutorial:

… And the Epic Pinterest Fail:

water marble nails Epic Pinterest Fail

Says Becca: “Nail art on Pinterest seems so simple, so brilliant. My sister saw this tutorial and got so excited, she decided to try it right away. We had all the confidence that it would work without a hitch.

“My first clue should have been when my sister INSISTED I try it first. My second clue should have been when she suggested that we try the craft out with the nail polishes that weren’t too dear, which led to the lovely combination of purple and orange in the picture. My third clue should have been when my sister told me that we only needed to look at the pictures of the tutorial, no need to read any lengthy descriptions.

“After this lovely result, we decided to actually follow the instructions. It turns out there were a few steps we skipped, like using tape around the nail and pulling the nail up through the water instead of dipping it. Oh well. Nailed it!”

Yes, a key ingredient of failure is lack of preparation! We’re just glad you have a since of humor about it. It’s always good to be able to just laugh it off:

Says Caitlin: “I made cherry apple pies baked inside the apples. I check on these at 30 minutes, and they looked awesome. Fifteen minutes later, I had this mess. I have been told next time to try in muffin tins. Even though they don’t look too good, they still tasted really yummy!”

We’re glad they still tasted great, even though they were a mess. Marty Huggins might have some words for you:
